The Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro (PDP Benue South) has called for an immediate end to the incessant killings in parts of the senatorial district by Fulani militia

Senator Moro called on both the Federal and the state governments to take immediate steps to nip the barbaric acts in the bud.

He said he could no longer guarantee the continued patience of the affected people who have been waiting on the government to come to their aid.

Apa, Agatu and Otukpo LGAs have been under bloody attacks by the marauding herders leading to wanton destruction of lives and property.

In a statement on Friday by his Media Adviser, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John, the Minority leader noted that the victims have been pushed to the wall and will resort to self-help if help does not come to them immediately.

He condemned the recent killings in the land, especially the Sunday and Friday killings in Ogbaulu community, in Agatu LGA.

According to him, “the unprovoked attacks which resulted in the gruesome murder of five armless villagers on their farms, were unacceptable, even as he called on security agents to go after the perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them to book.”
