PSG’s hunt for a first Champions league trophy continued when they welcomed Barcelona to the Parc de Princes for the 1st leg of the quarter final round of matches.

An exciting encounter saw Barcelona take the lead after teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal’s cross was not properly dealt with by Donnaruma, leaving Raphina and empty goal to slot in his right footed shot

In the second half PSG came firing with 2 quick goals in succession.

Mbappe’s blocked cross fell unto the path of Ousmane Dembele who followed up his faked shot with a left footed top corner strike to draw the hosts level.

Almost immediately, Vitinha finished a series of quick passing on the right to his side an early second half lead.

Barcelona Manager, Xavi Hernandez had a masterstroke with his substitutions as Barcelona turned the game on its head.

Pedri, subbed on for Sergi Roberto, executed a brilliant chopped pass that found Raphina in the box, whose first-time finish leveled the score for the visitors.

Another substitute, Andreas Christensen powered his way from a corner to put the ball in the back of the net, almost immediately coming off the bench for a 3-2 lead.

Ousmane Dembele tried to restore parity by making several attempts from range but was not a problem for the Barcelona goalie, Terstegen.

Mbappe, who had been quiet throughout the game, attempted to make his mark in the dying moments. However, his shot was deflected wide, encapsulating a frustrating evening for the speedy Frenchman.

With a final score of 3-2, Barcelona carries the advantage to the Camp Nou for what promises to be an exciting second leg encounter.
