President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of three Executive Directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.

The new Executive Directors appointed for the agencies under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy are Ms. Vivian Richard Edet. She is to serve a the Executive Director, Finance & Administration (NPA), Olalekan Badmus is the Executive Director, Marine & Operations, NPA, while Ibrahim Abba Umar is the Executive Director, Engineering & Technical Services, NPA.

Also appointed to serve as Executive Director, Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services is Mr. Jibril Abba, Mr. Chudi Offodile — Executive Director, Finance & Administration and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi — Executive Director, Operations.

This was made known in a statement signed by the President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

According to the statement, President Tinubu expects the appointees to efficiently execute on their collective mandate to create the conditions required to improve the contribution of the Marine & Blue Economy sector to the nation’s GDP.

They are also expected to evolve the Nigerian economy into a labour-intensive and inclusive one that creates new opportunity for all Nigerians in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda, under the able guidance of the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
