The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says power has been restored to the National Grid, a day after it collapsed.

TCN had on Wednesday, alerted Nigerians that power to the National grid had collapsed but efforts were being made to restore it.

A brief statement by the General Manager, Public Affairs TCN, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, stated that; Normalcy had returned after the incident.

“TCN restored bulk power to all the 330kV transmission stations across the entire grid by 5:54pm on Thursday.

“The Kainji – Birnin Kebbi line however tripped on a fault but was restored.”

“TCN’s 330kV substations feed 132kV substations, through which distribution companies off-take electricity they deliver to electricity consumers nationwide,” she said.

The company had said it was investigating the latest disruption and working to resolve the problem.
