Derby D’Milano (Ac Milan v Inter Milan) as fondly called, was set to be the title decider in what has been an incredible season for the Nerazzurris.

The soon to be champions went ahead in the 17th minute, when Dimarco flicked his header for Acerbi, who nodded Inter to an early lead.

Eager to respond, Rafael Leao tested Sommer in the Inter goal, but his left footed strike was too tame to trouble the Swiss shot stopper.

Thuram came close to doubling his side’s lead, but he sent his shot wide of the mark after connecting with a cross from Dimarco on the left.

Thuram finally doubled the lead, this time with a reverse shot to beat Maignan at his near post, as Inter were starting to look like runaway winners.

Fikayo Tomori got one back for Ac Milan, but it was a little too late as Inter were determined to keep their lead.

Brawls and scruffles dominated the final minutes, as referee, Andrea Colombo brought the half to a close, confirming the Nerazzurris as champions for the 20th time. A 2 star achievement, one better than their city rivals, Ac Milan with 19.
