After an exciting draw in the first leg, both Arsenal and Bayern returned to the Allianz Arena for a place in the semi final of the Champions league.
Rightback, Mazraoui came close for the hosts in the 22nd minute when his cross/shot was deflected across the face of goal. Seconds later, Musiala’s attempt from range was parried by Jose Raya for Arsenal in goal to keep the game level.
Arsenal had chances of theirs, but veteran, Manuel Neur was present to keep out the danger. First reacting swiftly to keep out Odegaard’s deflected shot and well positioned to recieve Martinelli’s tame shot in the box.
In the second half Bayern came out with all the pressure as Kimmich’s header hit the crossbar and Gurrerio’s follow up hit the post alike.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 62nd minute as on rushing Kimmich powerfully headed the back into the back of the net from Gurrerio’s outswinger.
The score remained 1-0 as Bayern Munich secured their first semi-final berth since the 2020/21 season, while Arsenal’s quest for their first Champions League trophy extends to next season.
