In a dominant display, Cristiano Ronaldo led AlNassr to a commanding 8-0 victory over Abha in the Saudi Pro League last night.
The match saw Ronaldo shine with a hat trick, while Abha, particularly goalkeeper C.Tãtãrusaru, endured a forgettable evening.
Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a precise low-driven free kick, followed by another free-kick goal just 21 minutes this time, C.Tãtãrusaru ball watching as the ball dipped over the wall into the bottom right hand corner of his post, marking Ronaldo’s 63rd career free-kick goal at the age of 39.
The Portuguese star continued to make an impact, assisting Sadio Mane for AlNassr’s third goal with a well-placed left-footed cross into the box. Ronaldo then completed his hat trick with an audacious chip from outside the box making it a consecutive hat trick in back to back games taking his tally to 29 for the season in 24 Saudi Pro League games.
This hat trick also brings him just 15 goals away from reaching the remarkable milestone of 900 career goals. AlNassr extended their lead to five in the first half, with Ronaldo providing his 11th assist of the season for Al Sulaiheem, who tapped in from close range.

After Ronaldo was substituted off following a superb first-half performance, AlNassr continued their dominance, sealing the victory with goals from A.Ghaheeb and a brace from substitute Al-Aliwa. With this win, AlNassr maintains their position in 2nd place, trailing leaders AlHilal by 12 points. Their next challenge is an away game against Damal on Friday in the Saudi Pro League.
