The bodies of the 17 Nigerian Army personnel killed-in-action at the Okuama Community in Delta State have arrived in the National Military Cemetery Abuja for internment.

The personnel led by Commanding Officer 181 Amphibious Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi Ali were ambushed at Okuama Community, Ughelli South Local Govement Area of Delta State.

The President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu arrived at the cemetery to join the Service Chiefs and other prominent Nigerians as they pay last respect to the fallen heroes.

The nation has been in mourning over the tragic loss of the Commanding Officer and 2 Majors, a Captain, and 12 soldiers who are being buried.
