President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and other lawmakers at the State House , Abuja.
Details of the Tuesday Closed door meeting was not disclosed to State House reporters.
The visit came soon after the Senate suspended Senator Abdul Ningi over his allegation that the upper chamber padded the 2024 national budget.
Senator Ningi is the Chairman of Northern Senators Forum, Senator Abdul Ningi (PDP), representing Bauchi Bauchi Central Senatorial District.
The Lawmaker had said in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service that the administration of President Tinubu was implementing two versions of budget aside from the one approved on January 1, 2024.
Senator Ningi stated that the Nigerian Government, was operating a budget significantly higher than what was passed by the NASS.
