The national team announced that Napoli and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen would have an MRI scan,
in order to establish the extent of the injury he sustained in Nigeria’s 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in a friendly.
Osimhen dropped the game in the 55th minute at Portugal’s Portimao stadium.
He will get a scan, according to Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.
He is also expected to miss Monday’s friendly against Mozambique, also in Portugal.
“We don’t have to play him again whatever the outcome of the scan,” The Nigerian team posted an interview on social media.

Osimhen has six goals this season in Serie A and was the league’s leading scorer when Napoli won the title last season.
He previously played for clubs in Germany and France before joining Napoli.
