President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new and returning Chief Executives to fresh terms in office across multiple agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
He approved the appointment of Aminu Maida, the Executive Director of Technology and Operations at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS), as the Executive Vice Chairman / CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The President also approved the appointment of Idris Alubankudi as his Special Adviser on Technology and Digital Economy.
Nkechi Egerton-Idehen was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited NIGCOMSAT. She is to replace Tukur Mohammed Lawal who headed NIGCOMSAT since December 2022.
Tola Odeyemi was appointed by the President to serve as the Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST.
The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Kashifu Abdullahi, and the National Commissioner / CEO, of Nigeria Data Protection Commission, NDPC, Dr. Vincent Olatunji we’re given a fresh four years in office.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale said; “The appointments were made in line with the President’s determination to maximally leverage Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy towards greater financial inclusion.”
The appointments take immediate effect.
