Members of the House of Representatives have elected Tajudeen Abbas as the Speaker for the 10th House.
Abbas is representing Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State.
The new Speaker, who is the All Progressives Congress ( APC) preferred candidate for the seat, polled a total of 353 votes to defeat the immediate past deputy speaker, Idris Wase and chairman, of House of National Intelligence, in the eighth Assembly, Aminu Jaji, 3 votes each.
He has also taken the oath of office.
