Nigeria’s governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled its special Convention for Presidential primary election to hold from 6th to 8th June.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka said this in a press statement.
He said; “Following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s extension of deadline for the submission of list of candidates by political parties, the APC hereby postpones its Special Convention for Presidential Primary to Wednesday, 6th and 8th of June, 2022.
“The primary election was initially billed for Sunday, 29th – Monday, 30th of May, 2020.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had extended the time for primaries by six days after holding a meeting with the leadership of the 18 registered political parties at its headquarters in Abuja on Friday.
