The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a new Board of Directors for the National Directorate of Employment.

The appointment came following the expiration of the tenure of the former Board of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

The Board as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari is as follows;

  1. Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN – Chairman (As statutorily provided for Supervising Ministers of the Agency)
  2. Chris J. Maiyaki (Member), representing the National Universities Commission.
  1. Mallam Lawal Y. Hafiz (Member), representing the National Board for Technical Education.
  1. Prince Tony Omoaghe – Member
  1. Mrs. Obiageli B. Orah  – Member.
  1. Yamah Patience J. (Mrs.) (Member), representing the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
  1. Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, MCIPM, mni – representing the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
  1. Mr. Mohammed Ndadoko – Member- representing the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment Industry.
  1. Dr. Yerima P. Terfa – Memeber- the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
  1. Mr. Rasaq Bello-Osagie- Member
  1. Mrs. Olubunmi Osuntuyi (Member), representing the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association.
  1. Comrade Amechi Asugwuni (Member), representing the Nigeria Labour Congress.
  1. Mr. Collins Iriferi Umukoro – Member
  1. Mr. Andrew Obukohwo Egunoma – Member
  1. Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, the Director-General of National Directorate of Employment – Member”

President Buhari said the Board would be inaugurated by the Supervising Minister of the NDE, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo, on a date to be communicated to all appointees.

He added that ”their appointment is for a period of four years.”
