Nigeria has confirmed 40 new cases of the Coronavirus also known as Covid-19.
The latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 166,019, total discharged to 156,479 and 2,067 confirmed deaths since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases via its official Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, on Sunday.
The 40 new cases are reported from Lagos-29, Abia-3, Ogun-3, Kano-2, Kaduna-1, Plateau-1 and Rivers-1.
