Osholoa’s Barcelona Femeni beat Chelsea Women 4-0 on Sunday, to win the 2021 Champions League.
She made an appearance in the game in the 71st minute as Barcelona inched towards the Champions League title in the final match played at the empty Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg.
Oshoala also made history in 2019 as the first Nigerian and African to score a goal in a champions league final.
Born in October 1994, Oshoala was named best player and second top goal scorer with the Super Falcons team who won the 2014 African Women’s Championship. She was made a member of the Order of Niger by the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in 2014.
Oshoala was named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in 2015, she was the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup where she was named the best player at the tournament.
Oshoala previously played for English clubs Arsenal and Liverpool, Chinese club Dailan, and Nigerian clubs Rivers Angels and FC Robo.
