Parents and colleagues of the abducted students of the College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, in Kaduna State staged a protest Tuesday at the National Assembly complex, Abuja.
They demanded that government takes action and rescue their children.
However, the main entrance of the National Assembly was manned by security agents who denied the protesters entrance.

One of the mothers of the abducted students, Catherine Kwuale spoke of the pain she had experienced since the kidnapping of her child.
“In the night one cannot sleep. If you want to sleep you will be thinking of the condition of your child. Is that child still alive? Is that child dead? What is that child eating?” Kwuale said.
The Federal Government has through its Official Twitter page, @NGRPresident said that it deeply shared the pain of the abducted Students;
We deeply share the anguish of the parents of the abducted Greenfield University students. The Federal Government through the military & intelligence agencies is working to support the Kaduna State Govt to bring this tragic saga to an end with no further loss of innocent life.

“We will ensure that good triumphs over evil, & that all of the bandits & criminals terrorizing innocent lives & communities are brought to book. This is a time for all Nigerians to unite, regardless of religion, ethnicity or partisan affiliation—against a common, dastardly enemy,” Presidency tweeted on Tuesday night.
Some weeks back, gunmen stormed Greenfield University located along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway in Chikun Local Government Area, and kidnapped students of the institution.
Five out of the kidnapped students have been killed and the abductors threatening to kill the remaining students if a ransom of N100 million and 10 motorcycles are not delivered to them.
