Man City shines at Champions League semi final

Mahrez’s 71st minute direct free kick goal earned city a well deserved victory over PSG in the first leg of the Champions’ League semi final tie in Paris.

The host was in front just after 15 minutes when Marquinhos headed in Angel di Maria’s corner.

City missed a great chance to level up just before the break as Phil Foden strike was saved by PSG keeper Kaylor Navas.

The equalizer came at the 64th minute from a well deserved Kevin de Bruyne’s cross which evaded everyone in the penalty box and moved beyond the already overwhelmed PSG keeper Kaylor Navas.

City had the winner just after seven minutes when Mahrez’s scored a free kick that passed the wall to beat Navas.

PSG had Idrissa Gueye sent off at the 77th minute for a challenge on IIkay Gundogan.

The second leg comes up in Manchester on  the 4th of May.
